Hi!  My name is Kim Rahne.  For more than 25 years, I have been a Speech-Language Pathologist in Minnesota working with toddlers, preschoolers, school-age students, and their families in home-based and school settings.

I received my Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Communication Disorders from St. Cloud State University.

I hold my Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Langauge-Hearing Association.  I also carry an educator license as a Speech Pathologist issued by Minnesota’s Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board.

I discovered my passion for speech therapy while taking an introductory course on communication disorders as an undergraduate student.  Learning about speech sound production, language development, stuttering, voice, and augmentative and alternative communication made me realize helping others communicate is what I wanted to do.

As a Speech Pathologist, I get to witness the power and excitement of communicating.  Seeing a smile on a child’s face as they use a communication system (PECS, Proloquo2Go), watching a child’s self-esteem rise as their speech and language skills improve, and observing a child confidently participate in classroom discussion despite a stutter are what drive my dedication as a Speech Pathologist.  I look forward to working with you and your child!
